December 2011 - JGM Associates, Inc. (JGMA) has announced it is developing a "suite" of Mini MOPA (tm) laser products based on the company's patented VHGM amplifier technology. The product development effort will exploit the advantages of VHGM technology as needed to realize ultra-compact laser devices. These OEM lasers will be used as embedded light sources in laser-based equipment manufactured by others for scientific, industrial, biomedical, biotechnology, and military / aerospace applications.

June 2011 - The US Patent and Trademark Office has awarded JGMA patent #US 7,961,771 B2 which extends coverage to include VHGMs employing one or two discrete mirrors to configure the zig-zag beam path.

May 2010 - JGM Associates has been awarded a Phase I Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) contract by DoD / Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The Phase I project is entitled "Compact Dual-mode Laser", and will leverage JGM Associates' recently patented VHGM laser technology for development of ultra-compact laser sources for MDA missions.

September 2009 - The US Patent and Trademark Ofiice has awarded JGMA patent #US 7,590,160 B2 "High-gain Diode-pumped Laser Amplifier." JGM Associates is currently developing a suite of ultra-compact laser products based on this amplifier technology.

February 2009 - JGM Associates has been awarded a Phase I Small Business Technology Transfer Research (STTR) contract by DoD / Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The Phase I project is entitled "Compact Laser Sources for Advanced Discrimination Seekers", and will attempt to leverage JGM Associates' patent-pending VHGM laser technology for the development of ultra-compact laser sources for MDA applications. The project will be implemented in collaboration with the Electro-Optics Center at Penn State University (Freeport, PA).
